What Kashmir is Not!
written on: July 30, 2005

Kashmir or Jammu & Kashmir is a state in India which is more known for militancy issues there, for the wars India and Pakistan fought along their borders in this state.
But .. what is long forgotten is that kashmir is a beautiful scenic tourist state. If kashmir wasn't at the border of India and Pakistan, and if there weren't wars or terrorism like kashmir has seen, then kashmir would have been the first tourist spot anybody would visit in Asia.
War has deprived this state not just of tourism, but of the peacefulness and calmness that nature has inscribed in this place. People should know what Kashmir means.. it definitely doesn't stand for terrorism, or for hatred.
India, Pakistan, and the terrorists who are nested permanently here are interested in Jammu & Kashmir for obvious reasons.
If something is too beautiful, too good, and if this something is ours, we would do anything to keep it. That's what terrorism here is trying to do. And in turn terrorism also is trying to promote kashmir as a place for hatred and killing to keep away good intentions from taking away their habitat.
And there are political confusions over which India & Pakistan are trying to occupy kashmir. These issues started with the split between India and Pakistan as separate countries on Independence.
...The split wasn't fully ever completed in this border state...
