You can read the speech in text here..

Yahoo & Google are friends..

Imagine.. !

But that might well to be true, at least in corporate terms. As far as my memory can reach I can't remember any major dispute between Yahoo and Google.. if there were, they were petty disputes, or things that they sorted out quickly before media noticed. Be it good that we have forgotten their bitter fight last year, over who indexes the most of the web's content.

I remember seeing quite few instances where Yahoo had credited Google as one of the biggest things that happened in a year 2004/5 in yahoo's 'year that was' diary published at the end of year (something like this but for a previous year, i have that link also somewhere in this blog, if you bothered you could do a search and probably land up).

Last week I spotted this Yahoo Ad on Google mail (notice the 'Ask Yahoo!' thing in the below image, its an Ad link).. This must be again one of the instances where they have their friendly exchanges.

gmail_askYahoo_ad.gif

And if you didn't know, of the many things, Google was once sued by Yahoo on Google Adsense.. because Yahoo had the patent for Adsense kind of Ad delivery technology through its sister concern 'Overture'. The case was settled out-of-court quite amicably like a friendly dispute.. and till this day Google Adsense pays royalty or license charges to Yahoo for using their patented technology.

India's answer to web media advertizing

You probably know them, have heard of them, or seen their Ads. But I would still go ahead and talk about them for they are rockstars who deserve any amount of branding that can happen.

While many small companies try split across the web advertising space, for probably web is the cheapest entry point or whatsoever they misunderstand, companies like WebChutney are the people who strive and raise the brand value of Web media itself, raising its advertising interactiveness with innovative thinking, refreshing new interests into the sector, and actually keeping the web advertising sector itself alive of all the crap and spam its eating up. And on this, they stand tall.

I wouldn't also do the same thing of comparing webChutney with Google or Yahoo, though these days any web-based product or service goes through that comparison cycle. Google, Yahoo are not media companies, neither are they advertising companies again popular belief. Google and yahoo are content enablers or sometimes producers, so people like webChutney are their clients.

Just because they are an advertising company particularly targeting the web media, its not to be misunderstood that they are lower than companies that target publications, magazines, or television. The media (or medium) is the only difference. WebChutney seem to have the same innovative thoughts, vigour, rigour, and all that were probably seen in companies like 'Rediffusion DY & R', 'Ogilvy & Mather' and the likes.. when they were also as young. WebChutney is 6 years old start counting since 1999. And seems like they are powered by bucks of one VC 'Russian Hill ventures'.

WebChutney is rated the one of India's coolest companies.

You should see their virals to see their award winning campaigns.

Is today's world more intelligent or the yesterday's ?
It is building from scratch that is difficult, not building on an existing platform.
It is invention or inventive thinking that creates revolution, not research over an existing invention.
People can only grow inferior in the amount of thoughts and amount of work they do because more and more stuff evolves and makes life more and more easier or better..
Your father would have taken more pain to do what he wanted to do with his children or his business or his life... than you.

"Each new generation of the Earth's beings or the New world, is and will be, inferior in all ways with the Old World."

That is a popular, studied statement by historians, proved through observation by bilogists, scholars and their writings, even from way back in the 18th century.

extinction2.jpgThe dinosaurs were much superior in power, size, mass, and their energy compared to today's animals.. what we call the elephant the biggest animal today. There have existed Dinosaurs of such size that they could eat 4-5 elephants for breakfast everyday.

The old world plants or tree species have always amazed even the scientists of today in their size, life, and how they survive many odds in climate and changes in the earth itself. While botanists around the world have been, and are, looking for every bit of a tiny growth of plant species from the old world believed to have been extinct now... zoologists, geologists and historians are looking for remains from the old world to understand the old world and their life and extinction theories.

extinction.jpgAll these researchers have almost concluded that earth goes through a cycle of life all the time, and that the new world always has inferior living beings in any and all species, be it animals (inclusive of humans), plants or even rocks and the earth beneath..
And that the new world stuff is inferior in all means, by size, by power(both physical and mental), by capacity to survive and also to evolve.

Everything has the problem of Ageing
Its more similar to the ageing process in our lives. As you get old you start losing your memory, your eyesight, and what not. And you always see that younger people do less work and stuff than you did in your days, but there are more younger people and hence more it looks like its better.

Cycle of Life
You know, even if we humans didn't extract the Earth's resources like coal, oil, etc., they are prone to deplete as the Earth ages. And this resource decrease, in many ways triggers ageing in the Cycle of life also, wherein inferior beings are produced in every cycle.

Future worlds
human_womb.jpgYou and I are existing today in one of those cycles of life and extinction and we can assume that in the future (new world(s) will occur as long as the Earth and the system is alive), the beings of the new worlds, will be less capable on thought, probably smaller in size, and evolve much slowler than we have evolved so far, be it in understanding our history and cycle of life over many centuries or be it in technology advancements.

Though Aristotle, Newton, .. bill gates, .you and me, all are not far apart in our date of birth and period of existence (considering that the Earth is already many billion years old), there is convincing evidence in that we haven't found another dinosaur after their period, another scholar as big as aristotle after his period, another warrior like Alexander, ... and so on.

And so, we are probably not going to see more bigger companies or company chairmans like there are today, be it bill gates, or anyone else with such high corporate power.

Why all that, we probably can safely assume that there may not be even as capable humans like you reading this blog post and me writing it, in the future worlds to come after we all go extinct, and that assumption would be strongly true based on past evidence and understanding of Earth's history over the few centuries our human species has studied it.

The idea of this post is not that current technology is stupid or new generation is worser than the previous. As stated in the first few lines of this post, the idea is that the new generation or new technologies have it easier than the old.. and so it may not be of importance for anybody to become or think like aristotle or bill gates in the future, because everything would be done to some extent and people will consume their brains lesser.

earth_image.jpgAnd if anybody is wondering how we might go extinct, there can't be any clearer probablity other than the climate changes we are forcing on ourself. And there is some proof for this already.

"I’m setting up an accessibility research project. I need your support to buy me time to raise the money for the project. You’d be funding me, not the project. You can show support by donating – or just by posting one of my clever ad banners on your site",
so goes the message on joeclark.org requesting or technically begging money from people who are using the web.

Questions like why somebody is using the web, and why should they pay him money, dont seem to bother joe (that clearly is the likes of a beggar). At his webpage he states clearly 'if you want to, you donate, or else don't', and joe even goes further setting pre-conditions to probable donors, like stating 'I won't report to you what i am doing, i am not liable to telling you anything about what i use the money for, you only donate based on trust, you are donating to me and not to the project'...and more like that. What the heck you may think!

Technically joe is one of those idiots on the internet who think internet users can throw their money on them and just walk away.. and people like joe go a step further and just DEMAND users in that.

In what probably started as requesting donations from users, to pay up for maintaining a free software or service online, .. is gradually over-grown into a habit many people have (they call themselves geeks).

I have made a more detailed post here, on this slow poison that most geeks have taken as a habit and willingly drink unmindful of the decrease in value of money online its creating. This will kill open-source itself, and more low quality software will be made in the community.

Tree surgery, its called..never heard before.

Did you know! that there is a term for people who understand the problems of trees and diagnose them. Yes, quite interesting to use these medical terms like surgery, diagnosis, for trees. "Tree surgery" its called, the idea of operating on trees, fixing their problems.. and these guys are "Tree surgeons". They do the same, except that thes surgeons go to the patient and operate on him( or her... but, hmm whatever).

This science is Arborist.

Arborist

Ar-bor-ist [ahr-ber-ist], noun

"A specialist in the cultivation and care of trees and shrubs, including tree surgery, the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of tree diseases, and the control of pests."

-- heard this for the first time.. so this post.

And there are professional arborists who have websites. visit here.

Why saddam's hanging is good?

iraqi_flag_at_athensOlympics.jpg1. Firstly its good for saddam to die rather than live inside 4 walls controlled mostly by forces called coalition forces beauracratically justfied and controlled by the American government(dont just blame Bush.. its a team).
..and I think that's enough good reason.

2. Good to Iraqi's to have saddam gone now, so that Iraqi's can move forward rather than having all the world's media embarrasingly talking only about culprits and terrorists in Iraq, as if no good ma/woman seems to be living there.

3. Good for Iraq's quality of life, trade, and more. I hope..

Because all these days any Iraqi atleast through the media's eyes either was a person who will die or kill...but not like anybody likes to live and thinks about living.

Saddam's hanging will hopefully starve the world media for news other than saddam now, and finally Iraqi people, their way of living, their hopes, their difficulties will get some air time.

Which could allow the world look at Iraqi's with less fear and probably help trade and related economical growth and movements.

If you are a multinational real estate agent/developer, small machine tool manufacturing unit, very long term investor, then you could consider planning something in Iraq... atleast for future. There should be soon available large amount of good, cheap labour, enormous land and human resources.

4. Good to counter growing threats in Iraq
Every Iraqi knows what saddam did, imagine even out of all the hiding saddam did, if so much evidenc/argument of crime was produced against saddam..!
Every Iraqi knows what is to happen of his life if he tries to live same.

So the hanging should have given an idea of obvious consequence to people who take to terrorism, and also to people who try live indoors or underground without protesting such terror originating from their country.

End Notes:
Ever since Saddam's Death penalty was announced, we have seen, heard and read so many many people starting to worry,
1. that Iraq is going to blast if saddam is hanged,
2. indirectly suggesting that All Iraqis are going to take to terrorism or some kind of stuff to screw up any democracy process,
3. and so on.

This was all dissappointing to see, because the world (or atleast world media) was seemingly condemning Iraq and not just saddam with all that opinions like a live grenade starts ticking in Iraq after saddam.

In my opinion.. the biggest battle and loss of life in Iraq is,
Is already over,
much before,
in the name of war on terror,
by the coalition forces.

What's now happening is aftermath.

And as you would expect, after all this screw=up in Iraq (thanks to UN as an organization to beauracratically allow all this),
when Iraq grows out of this period, develops, Americans will claim every credit for the development transformation to make us all ignore their screw-up transformation.

As for the question whether Bush should be hanged?

Keeping him will actually avoid more terror attacks, because he is already at the forefront of a government that has been doing what the terrorists want to do to america, spoil america's branding as seen by the world, and its economy.

And let's keep remembering that President Bush is not to blame for everything, he is only heading a team which does it all, if he didn't do it, ..definitely the team America's government would have found someone to do it.

Understanding that there's now no use of arguing whether American government or British government or UN for that matter did it right, the analysis which is not going to help anybody other than for an history record, we should be thinking in terms of seeing Iraq walk out of this and live better... we can do that atleast, if not contribute somehow to that revival.

Don't hail saddam... hail IRAQ

that's what all this is happened for: to get the real identity of IRAQ and IRAQI people and their capacity to live in such a way that they have the confidence to show-off their lives like we all show-off, like i show-off writing this blog. Show off Iraqis...we are waiting for your turn.
