How does it feel failing in Love.

heart-broken.jpgNotice that... this is not about falling in love... Unfortunately, its about failing in love.

Love, love and only love. Loving someone and getting the same kind of care in exchange makes one feel, what a doggie feels seeing its master after spending days lonely when he was away, what a child feels when it sees its mom after staying a long time(5 or 6 minutes) not seeing her, and what a mom feels when she breast feeds her child.

But, failing in love when you have to take that inevitable break-up with your girlfriend or boyfriend, feels much painful than all the above not happening.

The first poetry in any person evolves out of his love for something or someone.... and often, the last poem is also so.

Failing Love just short circuits a free current and burns up either terminals. Its never easy on both sides.

hebrokemyheart.jpgBreaking-up a relationship, a guy occassionally takes to a feeling that the girl probably isn't as hurt as him, or as bothered as him because she keeps the break-up active by not responding to short time communication (sometimes tried to make the break-up smoother). While a girl most often closes down all doors to the boy she broke up with thinking he is going to be better, and that keeping herself closed helps her overcome the trauma. Eventually, both of them end up using a lot of their brains in avoiding each other if they feel the breakup is inevitable.

Failing in love, pains all hearts that felt the love, and burns up all hearts to some extent making them tougher and more reserved about relationships in future. There can be no argument whether its the male or female of the species that are more happy with love, or more hurt with break-ups. And just because someone who broke-up made up their mind on a new relationship, in a short span, doesn't mean they are unhurt... the heart and mind of the person will still be hurt and the person may be trying to move on with it, not waiting for sympathy.

love-pendant.jpgPeople credit everything a person feels to the brain or the mind, except love.. which everyone connects as a feeling of the heart. Its probably because the heart is the central piece of the body and only the feeling of love is greater enough to be related to it.

People who break-up have to move on... and this page is for those of you.

Trying to forget the relationship is not a sin like all lovers think...but a sensible thing to do.

When you love,
your priority of importance for people changes to

your love, your love, your friends, parents, and the rest (which you dont remember almost)

When you fail in love,
your priority becomes,

nobody, nobody, nobody.... (you ask: is there anybody who cares about me).

After an inevitable break-up,
..Make up your mind,
..Blow up the excess thoughts, the cry, the fear of missing your love,
..Stop... drinking, smoking etc., are not things that ease the process, they are things that spoil the body and make the mind lose its capacity to think. Taking up to drinking alchohol to supress depression is like killing the ant that is biting your toe with a gun pointed at your toe.
..Talk to friends, family, people all things you feel good about....(there are things that you felt, and still feel good about.. you are just ignoring if you didn't notice)
..Dress up, look neat, like a star ...you still need to glow, not to find another relationship, but to make people look at you as a brave and handsome person and not some junk.
..Smile at people... when they see you.. make them feel good. Dont think doing this you are hiding your problems and its wrong. Most important thing is, dont look around for sympathy.. it doesnt help you or anybody. Sympathy only makes things worse, reminding of the pain that is to be overcome.

And if you are great, respond to those calls or messages from your love who you broke-up with, be naturally polite, happy, and approachable. Your love might need the help as much as you. But never sympathize with your love, or talk your way making it all your fault or your bad luck. Just talk things about moving on.

Failing in love, is as easy as falling in love. It doesn't happen to prove that two people aren't compatible, it happens because you are becoming increasingly incompatible from your compatible position, which may be due to various factors or people around you.

Don't think of living like Adam and Eve.. lonely on the planet, somewhere somehow, with nobody who knows you. Its no reason to throw others for any mistake they have not done. Love is important, but not the only thing important.. Achieving goals, meeting expectations of everyone, living life like a brave star are few of other things.

Don't think of death or isolation.. these are ways of running away from the problem rather than facing it and walking over.

Yes, it takes time to move on... removing the failure from your thoughts, but... out of all the things that you thought about doing to yourself, may be .. you can just give yourself time to overcome it.

There are people who look forward to you all the time for inspiration, big or small. Remember that..
And failing in love didn't happen to make you worse, it happened to make you better.

heart-gesture.jpgHey, buddy, keep that heart, and yourself nice... "You are important"...not everybody understands love or a break-up...and walks out of it bold.. that's why you are important, as you made up yourself stronger.

Things that heal:
..Music, music and more lovely music (not love songs that make you waeeeeee.. c'mon are we still crying till here)

..Books (suitable for those who have a passion about reading... especially some favorite authors)

..Moving outside ... and visiting pals you missed, movies you missed, and a lot of get togethers.

Arts & science... pretty eggy.

These egg shells were cut with a high intensity precision Laser Beam.

Today was the day I really saw something very worthwhile for calling a technology artistic. Also, very often i have this thought that why do we have colleges called arts & science college, while science students aren't taught the art part of it.. and arts students aren't taught the science part of it.

ATT1145051egg.jpgATT1145064egg.jpg

I received these pictures by a fwded mail.. The email said, "These egg shells were cut with a high intensity precision Laser Beam. This gives a very good idea of what can be achieved with a Laser Beam. From this we can derive what laser surgery performed on one's eye is all about. Is it any wonder how one's vision can be improved in just a few moments? Science is sometimes wonderful, and it's still on the frontier of gaining new knowledge.

Incredible what can be done with an eggshell and a laser beam."

ATT1145053egg.jpgATT1145054egg.jpgATT1145055egg.jpgATT1145052egg.jpgATT1145068egg.jpg

The invention of laser, and its precision in various fields are well known.. but with these pictures.. i think technology is really used in a very pleasing, artistic, and peaceful manner.. We should carry these images to discussions where people debate saying science brings more disadvantages in destruction than advantages in anything else.

Art, the Cook, and the watermelon...

I have seen some work on water melons in marraige partys.. If they contracted a proffessionally trained caterer at the marriage, the caterer generally displays his skills at the water melon, and many other fruits at the evening reception..

But, now these creations should be pretty complex, and makes me wonder how much time these guys should have spent on it. (This also i received through fwded email, no idea whether it was some big water melon carving competition.. though the complexity suggest that.)

Now, somebody was asking me what to do with a water melon in the winter... its more so eaten for its cold taste in the summer. Who asked me... who was it...

Stupidity quotient

How stupid are you?

A plane crashes on the United States - Canada border. Where are the survivors buried?
Depends on nationality
Canada
United States
Mexico
They aren't

Be honest, ... until you read
the last option you genuinely didn't
understand the tricky question clearly did u? I didn't.

[For some of you who still dont understand
the trick in the question... The answer is the
last option. read the question again.]

More intelligent questions....

An electric train is moving north at 100kph and a wind is blowing to the west at 10kph. Which way does the smoke blow?
North
Northwest
West
South
Nowhere

A farmer has 20 sheep, and all but 15 die. How many sheep are left?
Five
Ten
Fifteen
Twenty

If you still understood all three questions above right after reading them, you could still be stupid..(dont give that stare) I was.

My stupidity quotient this site says is: (click on image to go take the test yourself)

The Stupid Quiz said I am "Fairly Smart!" How stupid are you? Click here to find out!
In this website they do a simple logic behind the calculations they do to tell you how much % stupid you are.. lets c if you understand that logic.. if u do, post a comment. (May be you are not as stupid as me to understand their logic simply).

Waterless washing machine

Can you wash clothes without Water?

One of those questions which we thought has obvious answers, turns out to become that we are wrong...and its possible to wash clothes without water.

This was seen at the Electrolux Design Lab 2005 Awards.

Electrolux today presented its third Design Lab Award to Airwash, a waterless washing unit. Students from leading schools of design in over 88 countries participated in the competition.

airwash.jpgThe winner, Airwash, is a waterless washing unit that utilizes negative ions, compressed air and deodorants to clean clothes. Its form is inspired by the waterfall, nature's negative ion generator. Airwash eliminates the need for detergent and water. By using atmospheric air and negative ions - a natural cleansing agent - it fights dirt and bacteria with nature's own weapon. It is designed to be placed anywhere in the home, not only in the laundry area. The simple user interface "floats" to wherever on the appliance the user wants.

electrolux-winners.jpgThe jury selected Airwash as the winner because of its intuitive, ecological and beautiful design. Airwash also does away with the expensive, time consuming task of going to the dry cleaner.

Students from over 88 countries participated including Australia, Colombia, Canada, India, Japan, South Africa, Sweden, the US and Portugal.

Second place in the competition went to "Flavor of Sunshine" from students at Zhejiang University, China. Third place went to "Happy Feet" from students at Korea University of Technology and Education in South Korea.

Another interesting site of Google..-Google Zeitgeist

Google Zeitgeist
Search patterns, trends, and surprises according to Google

Another interesting site of Google. Google very often tears open what we all thought as a saturated industry 'Search industry'.

The Google Zeitgeist is a website where google publishes the stats of its search engines, the top searches around the world on sports, news, women, men... in essence information on the major search crowd.

They have this stats all the time.. but publishing it and giving the public some insight into it could be useful and sometimes very useful for Ad companies and publicists wanting to know what is hot on the web around the globe.

Good I discovered 'Zeitgeist', accidentally browsing to things, as usual forgetting what i wanted to initially read about. ... and google zeitgeist is not new... its been there for sometime i think.. probably years.. he he.. another of my late discovery.

I would blame the word 'Zeitgeist' for its low popularity.. and one reason why as a surfer I learnt about this site so late.

Zeitgeist is a tough word... atleast for people of non-english countries like mine (India).
Google is quick to explain the word with a dictionary quote..

zeit·geist | Pronunciation: 'tsIt-"gIst, 'zIt | Function: noun | Etymology: German, from Zeit (time) + Geist (spirit) | Date: 1884 | Meaning: the general intellectual, moral, and cultural climate of an era

I would not call it late because I somehow strongly felt google zeitgeist has a long way to go to make the information provided on the site more interesting... because it looked like just boxes saying what are top 10 searches in that and this..

google-zeitgist.jpgBut, google answered that already.. every year they plan to make a presentation on what was hot around the world.. and this stuff for the year 2004 is here. Its a very nice presentation.. just similar to the "Yahoo -10 years -A netrospective" link that I posted about sometime back.

Appreciably, we should note that this kind of innovativeness is one important that is keeping the idea of searching the web, and the web itself HOT.

NEWS:

In Cricket, India wins the series against SriLanka 6-1, allowing sri lanka take over on only one match that too after a very close fight. Dhoni of indian cricket team adjudged man of series. ... blah .. blah..

While all Indians are wondering and making their own theories about what suddenly turns the indian cricket team so lucky at winning. Probably never before India won something like that 6 matches of 7.

Some say its Tendulkar's return after a long break.. some..that ganguly's and greg chappell show which finally dawned on cricket the idea to get serious.

But still people are not convinced..

Recently, Microsoft has a real good theory.. listening to it, you start saying "must be true" like that tata indicom Ad on TV.

Microsoft says: "Its the luck with the use of Windows Media Center PC"

"As many of you are aware the Windows Xp Media Center Edition based PC is being actively used by the Indian Cricket Team.

For Cricket team 'winning' has become a habit after using Media Center PC

The product has been used extensively by used Team Analyst and the Coach to help the players analyse their game both during the matches and at the Practice sessions.

image002.gifRecently…..The Indian Cricket Team has been lapping on to the Mediacenter PC like never before

The product is being personally used by Greg Chappel- Coach; Sachin Tendulkar; Virender Sehwag and a few others. Portable Mediacenter is also been used by all the players

As a matter of fact the Mediacenter PC is very visible on all matches being telecast live"

This communication was spread within microsoft offices in india. A good friend of mine forwaded me the theory with a final note with three smileys.. which completed everything nicely...

GOOD IF WINNING BECOMES A HABIT FOR OUR CRICKET TEAM :o) :o) :o)

Chennai rained

What the rains made Chennai into.

Fallen Tree

At the 'Chennai Central' railway station

chen13.jpg
This is a road here.. will be able to see it again in 3-4 days, .. somebody is excited and swimming

chen16.jpg
Water from a subway pumped away... looks like someone took to opportunity to clean up his bicycle. If i had known this earlier, i would have taken my bike.

chen14.jpg
The Chennai city corporation building.. called 'Ripon building'.. some lord ripon built it. photographer probably had a bad angle on this one, makes it look like ripon building had a very dirty swimming pool.

chen1.jpg
Still wondering, thats a ford ikon. yes, we sometimes use these in such water too...you would have heard of all-terrain vehicles.. here its a submerged-terrain vehicle

chen10.jpg
Happy holidays!!.. thats what a small girl studying in this classroom in a school would say if she sees mess.

chen2.jpg
Chennaites think strange occassions for group photos.. smileee.

chen4.jpg
Thats our chennais public transport.. an MTC bus with its headlights lighting up underwater. do you see the traffic cop by the side with a stick.. we still check rules. these MTC bus drivers even overtake on such roads filled with water. Our MTC is one over-skilled department.

chen7.jpg
No, not a power station. 2-3 days and you will see rail tracks here.. well submerged with no trace of anything like a railway system.

chen8.jpg
I wonder.. whether this is another photo occassion.. i can hardly believe so.. anyway that's a fallen tree cut out from blocking the road.

With all this, it would be apt to call it 'floods' rather than 'rains'. But we chennaites are grown here with such tolerance levels that even I am unable to type floods anywhere thinking that would be exaggeration.

Except that it allowed many office goers to stay back home, all schools to declare a few days of last week as holidays, businesses unable to find customers even if some opened amidst odds, people had to walk into knee deep or some times neck deep water to reach their offices, few car drivers trying under-water driving and ending up stranded, airports and trains suspending or cancelling some services on days leaving passengers in the no-where, and a few or many more issues, .. life seemed to be normal.. or the people triumphed all the odds and made it normal.

Hope the buck stops at France

Recent french riots have... in short... has short-circuited my idea of Europe. I always used to look at Europe as the only place where something called 'Peace' could be felt. And dreamed about the day i will get a chance to visit countries in Europe.

051105_France_wide.hlarge.jpg
Image Copyrights: Jack Guez / AFP-Getty Images

Like everyone I also think about France, its paris, its Eiffel, whenever I think about Europe.

Whenever I discuss with friends/collegues about harmony, people, conflict resolution, war,... I take the example of europe which i consider the place where i have heard of no unresolved hard disputes, where we have not seen many wars happen.. atleast in these days.

It also happens that i worked for a belgian company which had an office here in chennai, india. Talking to a client and also sometimes my belgian boss, i had known that europe much of the time believes honestly in resolution to conflicts through talks. And that never would they consider Arms and Force as the first order to react on issues.

Recent news of continuing riots in France by protestors (said to comprise of mostly immigrants to france) has been bad news to me.

Its little like a bad omen sometimes... because i think... 'When I like something as good, bad things happen there'. Its something like kids blaming themselves for watching cricket when india loses..saying 'india would have not lost had I controlled my tempt to watch the match on TV'.

Seems like the 'Fighting' buck is now passed to France... having most other countries already covered.. I hope the 'fighting' buck stops at France.

...

Don't ask me..I am all afraid about Saudi Arabia now, because this is the second in my list of "more peaceful & beautiful countries of recent times". ...I am praying.. I am sure my bad omens wont be true any more.
